My first time dealing with lice and we tried over the counter stuff and it did not work. When I googled lice treatment Nit Picky came up. I had never heard of this type of treatment, so I gave them a call. They were at my house within 45 minutes thanks to a cancellation. The lady was very informative and did a great job on my daughter's hair. I may have had to pay, but it was money well spent because I had no clue what I was going to do. My daughter had lice. We shampooed with an over the counter chemical lice shampoo. We combed and I picked for days ensuring I got every last nit. We shampooed 7 days later just to be safe! But... there it was. A live bug in her hair almost 2 weeks after the first shampoo. I was NOT going to go through it again THINKING I got all the nits before they hatched. I called Nit Picky. They came the same day. Screened the whole family and treated my daughter. I was hesitant to spend the money but it is worth every penny for the peace of mind. We seem to have a recurring lice problem at our child's elementary school. We tried Nix. We tried Nix again. We spent even more money on Nix. We finally googled and came across Nit Picky. Joy! I don't know if the lice have become resistant to Nix but it did not work for us. Nit Picky got out all the lice, and I liked that it's not a poisonous chemical. We have used Nit Picky now for a second time (too far apart for it to be the same infestation) and we are satisfied.
