Combing Instructions:
It is imperative to comb between treatments or if you want to continue with treatment on your own this is our recommended process. This is also a great way to prevent head lice from reoccurring since often times a person is unaware of where it came from in the first place. If you find that you are struggling with this process an additional treatment is highly recommended. It is best to call for a follow up appointment within 5-7 days from the first appointment to avoid re-infestation. Remember it is also important to have all family members screened and treated if needed to avoid cross contamination.
Follow Up Treatment:
Comb Hair close to the scalp inspecting the hair and comb for lice and nits as instructed by the lice specialist.
·First Week: Comb Every Day. It is normal to find nits and even bugs during this process. Keep combing!
Preventative Combing
·Second Week: Every Other Day
Cleaning the House:
Remember head lice do not live in homes, however preventative measures should be taken as a precaution. There are some simple steps a person can take instead of using sprays to clean the home. Concentrate on cleaning what has been used within a 2-3 day period of time prior to treatment. Focus on areas where the head comes in contact.
·Clean your bed linens, clothes, jackets, hats, backpacks, stuffed animals etc.
Then relax. It is only necessary to do this one time after the initial first treatment.
